Success Stories from Our Textile Recycling Partners
Here at Earth Warrior sustainability takes center stage, and corporate responsibility is a shared commitment. We are thrilled to showcase our current Corporate Textile Recycling Partners. Forward-thinking businesses actively contributing to a world without waste.
Our Collaborators in Sustainability
Michel's Canada
Since 2023, Michel’s Canada has partnered with Earth Warrior to recycle 412 lbs of textiles. Much of this material came from outdated fabric signs, and outdated branded work wear. Thanks to their high-quality fabrics, we are able to repurpose them as the inner forms for our yoga props, giving these textiles a new life and purpose while keeping them out of the landfill.
The Edmonton Folk Festival
We started recycling recycling volunteer t-shirts from the Edmonton Folk Fest in 2023 and to date and we have recirculated 211lbs of textiles and kept them out of landfills. We have also had the pleasure to upcycle former t-shirts into Merch that was sold in their Merch tent.
Explore Edmonton
Most of our collaborations with Explore Edmonton are with our Corporate upcycling services. But there are instances where they have fabrics that don't work with some of our collab projects, so we have had to recirculate them in other ways with our textiles recycling services. To date we have recycled (separate from our corporate upcycling projects) 424lbs of textiles.
we have also helped them recirculate 300 reusable bottles that had not been claimed in their lost and found. We picked them up, cleaned them and got them to Water Warriors, who distributed them to the most vulnerable members of our community.
Lumberjill Apparel
Lumberjill is a local Edmonton Clothing Brand that makes everything in Edmonton. They use as much fabric as possible in their manufacturing, by turning the smaller pieces into pet bandana's mittens, and scrunchies. With the smaller pieces that they cannot make thier items with they get them to us to recirculate them. They have very specific brand colours so we use their scraps as stuffing in our yoga props.
Global Furniture Group
Global Furniture Group is a Canadian company that designs, manufactures, and distributes commercial furniture. The Edmonton office services sales in The Edmonton area and provide samples for viewing. When fabrics are discontinued, the samples are too, so we recycle those for them. To date we have recycled 93lbs of upholstery samples from them.
